Wales Air Ambulance is challenging quiz fans in Pembrokeshire to help them raise funds during Golden Hour Week, September 24-30.

The charity is organising a grand quiz night at New Hedges Village Hall on September 24 and also hopes that pubs and clubs throughout Pembrokeshire will organise quizzes to raise funds for the charity.

Golden Hour Week draws attention to the fact that the air ambulance can normally treat patients and provide them with expert medical care within 60 minutes, a fact that greatly improves their chances of recovery. Since it was formed just over eight years ago, the charity has already flown over 11,000 emergency missions.

Special lists of 'gold' themed questions and answers are available from the charity. Not only do these ensure the quiz will be a special event, but also make it easy for quizmasters to theme their regular quizzes.

"We'd love to see as many Pembrokeshire pubs and clubs as possible organise fund-raising quizzes throughout the week. If they get in touch with me, I'll make sure they receive the lists of golden questions and our promotional material to make it a fun and successful evening!" said Mike Ashbridge of the air ambulance.
