ADVENTUROUS people of all ages from Pembrokeshire are asked to consider helping the Paul Sartori Foundation, Pembrokeshire Hospice at Home, to raise vital funds by taking on the challenge of a lifetime.
Paul Sartori Foundation seeks local people to take part in either a sponsored overseas bike ride or 10-day treks, have the time of their lives and help others by raising money to help care for hospice patients and their families.
Full information on what to expect and tips on how to fund raise are provided and while the challenge requires some level of fitness, it is not only the young or the super-fit who are invited to take part.
The challenges are part of the International Hospice Challenge, giving support to local hospices in the UK and hospice care overseas.
"The Paul Sartori Foundation has never been part of anything like this before. I know that fund raising can be daunting, but it is amazing what people achieve if they have a go. The challenge will leave you with a memory of a lifetime. Every penny raised really does count," said Lorna Johns, Hospice director.
As well as raising cash for the Paul Sartori Foundation, the International Hospice Challenge will also be giving something back to the local communities in other countries.
The Paul Sartori Foundation is an independent hospice providing care for over 300 people with serious illnesses from across Pembrokeshire, for whom cure is no longer possible. It provides care tailored for each individual patient's needs and provides support for their families. Hospice care is free, so every pound raised will make a real difference.
Anyone interested in finding out about how they could take part in the challenge should call Lorna Johns at Paul Sartori Foundation, tel. International Hospice Challenges take place throughout the year and bookings are being taken for both 2002 and 2003 events.
