Have you ever wanted to write a story or learn about digital imaging?
If so, now is your chance to give it a go. Pembrokeshire County Council has organised a short series of free taster sessions in arts activities for the over 50s.
Funded by the authority, with additional funding from NIACE dysgu cymru, the sessions aim to tempt the over 50s to try something new or polish up their existing skills.
The workshops will be led by professionals in their field and none require any previous experience. Clr. David Wildman, cabinet member with responsibility for the elderly, said: "The workshops have been organised for those over 50 willing to try something new.
"We hope it may also lead some of them to go on and try out some of the other learning opportunities on offer in the county."
Special sessions include the Joy of Singing at the Picton Centre Haverfordwest on Monday, October 3; Creative Writing and Storytelling at the same venue on Wednesday, October 5; Digital Imaging at Scolton Manor on Wednesday, October 12, and Dance at The Picton Centre on Monday, October 17. The final session is a sharing and celebration day on October 24. Participants will show what they have achieved in the workshops and it will provide an opportunity for planning future sessions.
