Tenby's Round Tablers will have all eyes on the weather forecasts this weekend as they count down to their second Summer Spectacular of 2005. To mark the second event of their 50th Charter Year, Tablers have put together an outstanding programme to suit the whole family. "We were extremely fortunate with the weather a fortnight ago and we just hope that we are luck again this weekend," said Table chairman Paul Morris. "As this is the final Spectacular in our 50th Charter Year, we have decided to spend a lot more on the entertainments for the day. For the first time in a number of years we will have a two-plane stunt display over the harbour from the Honda Dream Team, which is sure to be breathtaking," he added. Tablers have also upped their spending on the already magnificent fireworks display that lights up the skies at the end of the event. "Jo Cameron, of Flameburst FX, has promised us a display to remember on Sunday so hopefully the day's entertainment should end on a high," said Paul. As usual, all the fun takes place in the area of Tenby harbour and kicks off at 3 pm. In the afternoon, the younger members of the audience will be entertained by the Bradley Bear Show from the event's main sponsors, Kiln Park, followed by come clowning around with Chunkie Russell from Folly Farm. The Teds Modern Dance Group are back following their successful debut at the first spectacular and will be followed by a Punch and Judy Show. Chunkie Russell will also be providing a circus workshop throughout the afternoon. The display by local coastguards and launch of the Tenby Lifeboat will be followed by live music from two great bands. "We are delighted to welcome back the ever popular Rainkings, and for the second year, In St. Louis. The quality of our live bands this year has been excellent and makes for a great atmosphere in and around the harbour," Paul stated. Tablers are grateful for the support of all local business and to the harbour community in general for their patience and understanding before, during and after the events. However, they are issuing a warning in advance of Sunday's spectacular. "The harbour area is subject to a public entertainment licence for the day of the event which places significant responsibilities on us as Tablers. As a result, people attending the Spectaculars will not be allowed to bring alcohol into the events from outside the harbour area. This issue will be strictly enforced by registered doorpersons at every point of access," Paul emphasised. "But our events are all about fun, enjoyment and raising large sums of money for deserving causes in our locality. So please come along, join in the fun of seven hours packed with entertainment and give generously so that we can make a real difference to charities and other good causes in our area," Paul concluded.
