Sir, I was appalled recently to see a nasty accident happen for the second time outside Direct Imports Shop in Saundersfoot.

I believe the owner of the store, Mr. Price, has on numerous occasions approached councillors over the last two years to voice his concern about the condition of the pavement from the shoe shop down to the Mulberry, but to no avail.

Councillors walk on the footpath on a regular basis, so why does it take a nasty accident. which happened to a wheelchair user. before action is taken.

I would say, wake up Saundersfoot councillors and get some action going for the sake of the holidaymakers, as well as the local people, and in particular and most importantly for wheelchair users.

If gardens can command such priority, so can pavements in Saundersfoot.
