Span Arts' monthly acoustic night continues with two thrilling performers in a fantastic night of English and Welsh acoustic music.
Steve Tilston is one of the most celebrated song-smiths with many of his songs considered modern folk-song classics and covered by the likes of Fairport Convention, Dolores Keane, John Wright and others.
He is a master craftsman who has built up a devoted following among those who take pleasure in consummate playing allied to poetic songwriting.
As well as a composer and storyteller par excellence, Steve is an acclaimed virtuso guitarist, whose extraordinarily delicate and technically brilliant playing have inspired other musicians for decades. He has also released a string of classic albums.
Supporting Steve will be the extraordinarily accomplished Fflur Dafydd.
Fflur, who is from Carmarthen, is perhaps best known as a writer - her second book Atyniad (Y Lolfa, 2006) won the coveted Prose Medal at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, and her career has taken in screenwriting, poetry and plays.
But she is also a wonderful singer-songwriter, whose delicate, lyrical writing and discreetly funky arrangements have won her a place at the heart of contemporary Welsh music.
The Acoustic Sessions with Steve Tilston and Fflur Dafydd is on Friday June 26, at the Queen's Hall, Narberth.
Doors open at 7.30 and the evening starts at 8 pm. Tickets for the night are £9 or £7 for Span Arts members and concessions, and are available on (01834) 869323 or on the website, http://www.span-arts.org.uk">www.span-arts.org.uk.
