At a recent meeting of Kilgetty, Begelly Community Council, the chairman, Clr. Trevor Andrews, was pleased to present Certificates of Achievement to four stalwart members of the community.
They were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Thomas, Mr. David Pugh and Ms. Michelle Lewis.
Over the years, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas have given so much pleasure to so many people who come to see their spectacular Christmas lights display.
"On behalf of the community we thank you, and for supporting local charities with the donations given," said Clr. Andrews.
Mr. Pugh, meanwhile, is chairman of the Begelly, Kilgetty Community Association.
His friends and colleagues nominated him for the award as he has given so much time and effort in supporting local events.
Finally, Ms. Michelle Lewis received her award for her time and effort in helping to organise community events and for raising much needed funds, which are used for the benefit of the community.
Also during the evening, a survey carried out by local students attending Greenhill School, Tenby, was presented to the council.
The survey was to find out what was available for young people and also what they would like to have available in Kilgetty and Begelly.
Councillors understood their needs and assured them that plans were in hand for changes. They were also encouraged to become more involved with village events and to put forward their ideas.
Councillors were given copies of their survey to read.
