It is no surprise that the moped gangs have chosen the Salterns car park as their race track (Observer, September 13). They wouldn’t have much fun in the multi-storey - it is full of little boy racers tearing around in their little cars.

This is an accident waiting to happen. The police are rather good at dealing with it when called, but the county council seems curiously reluctant to view its CCTV footage to identify number plates, even when supplied with dates and times.
