Sir,

I was very disheartened to read the minutes of Lampeter Velfrey's Community Council's meeting printed last week and that someone should make such a fuss about Lampeter House Ballet School.

Doubt that the complainant has made the same gift to the local community as Julian and Marni Williams have. Since they have totally restored Lampeter House, which was neglected for so many years, they have brought wonderful opera to the village. These events mean that local people are employed - hence jobs.

Once the Ballet School is completed, there will be more employment for local people, and the thought, by the community council, that the only redress the complainant could make was to complain to the Noise Abatement Society is absolutely ridiculous - ballet dancers are accompanied by a pianist, not a rock band.

Hopefully we will be hearing a pianist playing in the new ballet school very soon.

Clyn Pattel,

Narberth.
