Carmarthenshire attraction Aberglasney is excited to announce the launch of its autumn gin ‘Hydref’, produced in collaboration with the Gower Gin Company.
This is what they say about it:
Crafted in small batches with botanicals foraged from around the gardens, this is a beautifully balanced autumn gin that captures the season’s character.
Luscious medlar brings soft, honeyed depth, while delicate lime flower adds a gentle floral lift. Juicy blackberries provide vibrant berry notes, complemented by the fresh, peppery warmth of nasturtium.
‘Hydref’ is described as a distinctive, naturally expressive gin inspired by the changing colours and flavours of autumn.
Helen Scutt, Aberglasney Gardens’ Director came up with the idea to create seasonal gins using ingredients from the gardens.
Helen said: “The feedback from our winter and spring gins has been tremendous. This autumn gin tastes very different as we’ve used a combination of seasonal ingredients. Our artist in residence, Andrew Douglas-Forbes, designed the label for ‘Hydref’ which delicately illustrates the main ingredients. We hope you enjoy it. Visitors to our gift shop do not need to pay the admission fee into the gardens.”
Aberglasney reckons that ‘Hydref’ Gin captures the essence of autumn. It is available to purchase in the gardens gift shop in both 70cl and 20cl bottles.
