The photograph of the Saundersfoot in Bloom poster winners published in the Tenby Observer a few weeks ago reminded me of a similar photo taken in June 1987 at Saundersfoot CP School when my daughter, Catherine Stephens Ward, was one of the winners.
I am sure you can imagine my surprise and delight when that very same photograph was featured in Blast from the Past in last week's Tenby Observer! I do not know who sent it in, but would like to say thank you.
Fast foward 22 years and Catherine is still making the headlines as she is soon to become a work of art in her own right!
Catherine is one of 2,400 people who have been chosen to take part in Anthony Gormley's art project, One and Other.
Every hour of every day for 100 days one person will take their stand on the 4th plinth in London's Trafalgar Square.
Catherine's hour will be from 9 - 10 pm on Monday, July 27.
