On Maundy Thursday, the Quaynotes mixed choir performed J. H. Maunder's 'Olivet to Calvary', a musical work depicting the last few days of the Saviour's life. The evening at Wesley Chapel, Carew, was well received by the knowledgeable and receptive congregation who gathered to hear the performance. Supporting the choir were the renowned tenor, Mr. John Mitchinson, and bass, Mr. Colin Clarke, both in splendid form during the cantata. Mr. Glyn Evans, the musical director, was delighted to see all his hard work come to fruition with such a successful and well-received performance, with special mention going to accompanist Mrs. Sharon Lusher. After a word of thanks from the Rev. Anthony Gregory, the choir finished a wonderful evening of music and fellowship with refreshments in the vestry.
