Most people have heard of Hoyle's Mouth Cave and many visit it on a walk through Penally. It is hard to believe that in ancient times cavemen were able to swim and fish from their home there as the tide swept up the valley to St. Florence.

But how many people have been to Little Hoyle and Longbury Bank? On Saturday next, April 27, at 10.30 am, Phil Bennett, Pembrokeshire National Park's culture and heritage manager, will lead a walk to examine these sites.

Phil was part of an archaeological team which excavated the area and he will be able to explain what we are looking at. The walk has been organised by Penally History Group and it has been granted permission to cross Trefloyne Golf Club land.

However, the walk has had to be limited to 30 people, so places must be booked. If you are interested, please ring 842878. A small charge of £3 per head will be made. Sorry, dogs will be allowed on this occasion.

The walk will set out from the car park opposite DJ's nightclub, at the entrance to Trefloyne Lane, and will finish for refreshments at Trefloyne Golf Club.
