Older people in Pembrokeshire are being urged to develop their own independent voice. A meeting for older residents and organisations is being held in Haverfordwest later this month. The meeting is part of a Wales-wide project aimed at getting older people and organisations together to enable them to influence the decisions that affect them. In Pembrokeshire, it will be up to the county's own older residents to decide, with the support of agencies, how to go about it locally. The meeting will take place at the Picton Centre in Haverfordwest on Tuesday, May 24, at 7 pm. It is open to all over 50. The project is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government as part of its Strategy for Older People in Wales.
