Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Company is set to open the doors of its Cardiff next month. Located at no. 1-3, Royal Arcade in St Davids 2, it has been designed to be the company's flagship site.
Despite having only opened its first shop in Tenby earlier this year, the Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Company has already got a huge following for its hand-made products. The company prides itself on the fact they only use ingredients sourced from Pembrokeshire wherever possible.
The company's best-known pasty is its original Pembrokeshire variety made to an old recipe, passed down through generations and rediscovered by company MD, Oliver Booth. As well as locally-sourced lamb in a rich gravy, the Pembrokehire Pasty is flavoured with locally-made redcurrant jelly.
The shop will offer nine tempting varieties of pasty, including two vegetarian options, five pies (one of which is their delicious, award-winning pork pie), melt-in-the-mouth sausage rolls and three mini pasties, or parcels, as they're known, which are perfect for kids.
There will also be a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, plus crisps, cakes, biscuits and snacks which all boast a Pembrokeshire provenance.
Commenting on the Cardiff launch, Oliver Booth, of the Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Company, said: "We're delighted people seem to love our products. Everything is hand-made by us and is farm fresh straight from the heart of Pembrokeshire. We put a lot of care and attention into making our pies and pasties - they're as tasty as home-made and make the perfect comfort food."
The Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Company plans to take the taste of Pembrokeshire to the UK over the next couple of years with its roll-out of shops. However, it promises its ingredients will always remain true to the original provenance of the very first pasties and pies the company ever made.
