On Friday, Tenby Golf Club held the first of a number of regular 'Men's Introduction to Golf' days.

Following Rhys Harry, Tenby Golf Club's professional, and Sports Pembrokeshire's initiative 'Get Pembrokeshire Golfing', where over 800 children and over 60 women were introduced to golf, this summer sees men receiving the same opportunities

The turnout on Friday was great. Despite poor weather all day, conditions improved and the taster evening was held in calm, sunny weather.

Three PGA professionals were on hand to provide one-to-one tuition as well as group presentations.

Participants were able to experience putting, chipping, full shots and demonstrations.

The taster day culminated in a closely contested putting competition for trial club membership, the winner, Anthony Ryan, putting an impressive 21 over 12 holes.

The evening finished off in fine style in the clubhouse, where everyone enjoyed a complementary curry and pint.

Those of you who missed out, can call Rhys to take advantage of the remaining coaching sessions or register for our next taster day.
