Hundreds of ale and cider lovers flocked to Tenby at the weekend for the first annual Tenby Beer Festival.

The weekend was hosted and organised by Tenby Round Table at the De Valence Pavilion on Friday and Saturday.

The fundraising event welcomed hundreds of locals and visitors to the seaside town throughout the weekend.

Chairman of Tenby Round Table, Ashley Naidoo, believes events outside the summer season will benefit the area.

"We get a great footfall of visitors during the summer, and one of our aims is to assist in extending the season by hosting fun events in the quieter months too; this will hopefully encourage more visitors into the county," a sentiment echoed by Pembrokeshire Tourism.

There was a generous supply of over 50 local ales, ciders, wines and soft drinks available for visitors to enjoy.

Ashley mentioned: "It was important for us to give local brewers and food companies the chance to showcase their products; it's still vital to support local businesses in the area."

Live music was also performed by local artists, including Cottonmouth, The Collective, Tristain Lewis, Borderline Friends and Easi Tigerz.

The launch of the Tenby festival was even more successful than imagined, having raised a generous amount of money for local charities and young people with severe disabilities in the area.

Ashley would like to thank all members of the Round Table who were involved in the preparation of the event, especially Mr. Jon Webb, who was the most instrumental Round Table member in getting the festival off the ground.

It has been confirmed that following the success of the first beer festival, Tenby Round Table will host an even bigger and better beer fest next year - cheers folks!
