A NEW exhibition by artist Julian Brown has opened at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery.

The exhibition, entitled Julian Brown: A Retrospective View, is a collection of pictures representative of 50 years of work.

Within the show, Julian's interests and influences are clearly defined - stained glass, landscape and topography, architectural features, family and travel.

In opening the exhibition, Chris Delaney, former heritage manager for Carmarthenshire County Council, said that the pictures revealed the 'emotional attachment that Julian has to this landscape' and Julian himself recognises that his move to rural Carmarthenshire in the 1960s led to a fascination with the rural landscapes of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

Chris went on to say that an important part of Julian's work was 'recording the landscape, recreating places that people have memories of, through accessible art that the viewer can relate to and enjoy'.

The exhibition features over 60 works of art, many of which are available for purchase. It runs until Friday, March 13. There is a Meet the Artist session on Thursday, February 26.
