SPRINGFIELD Productions was set up by Mike Edmunds in 1993 to produce documentary, local interest and steam railway videos. 'Round the Pembrokeshire Coast' was released in 1995 and sold over 800 copies.

It has been unavailable for the past three years; so many copies were sold - the original master tape wore out.

It was the intention to update the original footage, however after upgrading to digital equipment, it was decided to completely re-film the video, with only a few short sections of footage (mainly aerial shots) appearing in the new production.

It has been released to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

A new commentary has been recorded by Rob James, with more facts and information given.

The new release runs for three hours, and the original retail price of £11.99 has been retained.

The first video was a pictorial record of the long distance footpath walk. The new edition has concentrated purely on filming the best shots, at the right time of day, and at the right time of year.

Twice as many filming days have been involved in producing a portrait of the Pembrokeshire coast, which should appeal to locals and visitors alike.

Although the video will again be following the route of the Coastal Path, more time is taken to explore the villages, towns and harbours along the way.

The journey begins in spring at St. Dogmaels and ends in autumn sunshine at Amroth.

The new edition is available at selected outlets throughout the county, including W. H. Smith.
