Whitland Male Choir held their annual concert in the Tabernacle Chapel, Whitland, on Friday, when their president, Dai Jones (Llanilar), opened the proceedings in his usual inimitable way.

The guest artistes for the evening were Aled Wyn Davies and Gwawr Edwards, with Menna Edwards playing the piano for the soloists.

The auditorium was packed for a night of music and laughter as Dai Jones introduced the artistes and choir.

Aled and Gwawr delighted everyone by performing two duets at the end of their solo items and the audience rose to a standing ovation.

The choir performed 12 items from their extensive repertoire, conducted by Juliet Rossiter and accompanied on the piano by Hefina Jones and on the organ by Dr. John Harrison.

The choir is looking forward to travelling to Cornwall to perform in October and has been invited to sing at the opening of the new LNG Terminal in Milford Haven in May.

In accordance with the choir's forward looking plans, they have opened a new website so that everyone can join them in their musical journey - you can even hear the choir singing from their new CD. Go to http://www.whitlandmalechoir.co.uk">www.whitlandmalechoir.co.uk
