How can it be possible to 'syn' and lose weight? This became a reality for local mum of two, Eirian Rogers. After gaining weight, Eirian despaired of ever finding a solution. To her, slimming meant crash dieting for a week at a time, then gorging on the wrong things the next. Now she knows the only way to get slim and stay slim is by food optimising, to be able to eat without feeling hungry and lose weight, which meant that she could still have cooked breakfasts, chips and chocolate treats without feeling guilty.
Eirian told us: "I couldn't believe it when I found Slimming World by accident. I went along with a friend and found that the group welcomed us with open arms. The consultant then explained how the plan worked, with 'Free Foods', 'Healthy Extras' and 'Syns' which made life bearable with a few glasses of wine at night or a bar of chocolate after the girls had gone to bed, or even a good night out with 'Flexy Syns'.
At size 20-22 shopping for clothes was a nightmare. Anything that fitted was usually at best, boring. Now at size 12-14 it's long slinky dresses, skintight jeans and sexy tops.
Eirian has gone on to lose three stone and has reached her target weight. She said: "This must be the best kept secret in Pembrokeshire because it would seem that Tenby knows nothing about Food Optimising yet."
Eirian is so impressed by this diet that she has decided to match her new figure with a new career and is opening a new group at Augustus Place Community Centre, Tenby, on Thursday night, May 27, at 6.30 pm. Half price membership will be offered on the opening night only.
"I can't wait to show Tenby the benefits of Food Optimising to slim for the summer," said Eirian.
