Saundersfoot Community Council is currently undertaking a community consultation to gauge the strength of support for the provision of a Multi Use Games Area or MUGA. This is supported by Pembrokeshire County Council.

The single tennis court on the King George V playing field has been identified as a possible site.

The area is large enough to provide for five-a-side football, basketball, netball and short tennis. All four courts would be marked on a new surface, and be surrounded by a secure fence with lockable gates.

A survey undertaking by he county council has identified the potential to also include a skateboard area.

The community council are looking to establish a steering group with a number of stakeholders to look at a design, quotations and grant applications. Members of the skating club have already said they wish to serve on the new committee.

If you would like to become involved, please call Clr. Steve John on 01834 814814 or attend the meeting on Wednesday, October 27, at 6 pm, at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot.
