Pupils from a South Pembrokeshire Primary School took a trip across the Irish Sea last month to meet up with their counterparts in County Wexford.
Twelve pupils from years four and five at Stepaside CP School were guests of Riverchapel School, near Gorey, County Wexford.
While in Eire, the youngsters got the chance to try their hand at the traditional Irish sports of hurling and Gaelic football.
The exchange trip followed an earlier visit to Stepaside by Riverchapel pupils, who took part in tag rugby and netball matches.
Headteacher Peter Griffiths said the exchange visits had given pupils an insight into the different sporting activities of their two countries, as well as cementing friendships between the two schools.
"We hope that the east-west links we have made will be further strengthened next year with more partnership projects between the two schools," he said.
