The Princess Royal Trust for Carers Pembrokeshire Carers Centre in Haverfordwest is an independent charity providing vital support and assistance for carers throughout the county. Since it was established in 1993, the centre has been the focal point for hundreds of carers locally.

The centre is desperately seeking individuals with professional, financial and legal background to consider becoming a trustee of the charity.

Ann Berry, chairman of the board of trustees, explained: "We provide a range of services for carers of all ages living in Pembrokeshire. Dedicated services for young carers and young adults who look after a relative or friend is an important part of our service. We also maintain the support of those whose caring role has ended, for as long as they need us.

"Our services have a positive effect on the quality of life of carers in the county and for us to continue to deliver these we desperately need the help and assistance of local professionals,"

The Pembrokeshire Carers Centre provides the following services: • Information, advice and practical support. • Welfare benefits advice. • Access to training. • Social and recreational events to combat the sense of loneliness and isolation experienced by many carers. • Outreach support for those unable to attend a carers' centre.

Importantly, carers' centres give a carer the time and space they need to relax and have some fun. If you can help or want to find out more information about the role of a trustee, please contact Ann Berry on 01437 767762 or email [email protected]">[email protected].
