The chair person and members of the Tenby and Pembrokeshire Fundraising Branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association wish to say a big thank you to Pembroke Male Choir, conducted by Christine Lloyd and accompanied by Jenny Griffiths, for an excellent concert on Tuesday.
The appreciative audience thoroughly enjoyed the programme, expertly compered by Phil Lloyd, and much-needed funds were raised to help with the training of guide dogs, providing visually impaired people with mobility and independence in safety.
Sincere thanks also go to the elders and members of St. Johns Church for the use of the premises, with special thanks to Brenda, Winifred and Elly for their help with the refreshments, and to John Hurlow for his assistance with the arrangements.
Secretary, Eva Rich, who was accompanied by her new guide dog Oyster, expressed thanks to all those who had come along to support the event, giving some information regarding the cost of a guide dog, and saying that the Guide Dogs for the Blind was celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.
