Dyfed-Powys Police has received numerous calls from concerned residents, predominantly in the Pembrokeshire area, relating to cold calls they have received claiming to be from Scotland Yard.

The callers elaborate by saying that they are an officer working in the financial fraud investigation department of Scotland Yard, and claim to be for example a ‘PC Clifton’, among other names.

They then ask the person they have called to call 161 to verify these details.

Police are advising that if you receive one of these calls, you should terminate the call immediately, and do not call back any number or provide any of your details.
