Firefighters from Tenby attended a small fire at a property in Pentlepoir on Monday at 10.27 am.

The fire, which was confined to the boiler in the kitchen, was out on arrival of firefighters.

Crews were involved in isolating the boiler and left the incident with a gas engineer at 10.47 am.

Deputy Head of Community Safety, Steve Davies, said: “It is vitally important that domestic heating appliances are checked and maintained on a regular basis by a gas safe registered engineer. Faulty appliances can have extremely serious consequences and it is fortunate in this instance that the incident was not more serious.”
