Youths that urinated and were sick up against the entrance that houses Tenby’s Inshore Lifeboat have been slammed by local police for ‘unacceptable’ behaviour during lockdown.

The incident occurred on Friday evening (May 1) when reports of drunken youngsters gathering around the harbour area in Tenby were made to the police.

Government guidelines during the COVID-19 state that you should only leave your home to go outside for - food, health reasons or work (but only if is not reasonably practicable to work from home), whilst staying 2 metres away from other people not from your household.

Tenby Neighbourhood Policing Team have reported the following day “Last night (Friday) people were being sick and urinating up against the door of the Tenby Inshore Lifeboat Station.

“This is unacceptable behaviour and with the current covid-19 pandemic the crews shouldn’t have to worry about such hygiene issues when called upon for an emergency!

“The members involved with this incident were dealt with accordingly by local officers and fined.”

Tenby’s RNLI?team thanked the police for responding so quickly to the matter.
