Two women are due to appear in court today following an attempted knifepoint robbery at a shop in Milford Haven.

A call was received at 5.50pm on July 11, reporting that two females wearing face coverings and in possession of a knife, had entered Pill Corner Store, demanding cash before leaving and heading towards Great North Road.

The victim, a 43 year-old man, did not sustain any injuries.

Two women aged 30 and 25, from the Pembrokeshire area, have been arrested and charged for attempted robbery.

“We would like to thank the local community who supported police with their investigation,” said a police spokesperson.

“Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident on Friday evening, July 11.

“Bethan John, aged 25, and Jessie Thompson, aged 30, from Milford Haven, have been charged with attempted robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place.”

Both are due to appear at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court today (July 14).
