Two Pembrokeshire men will go on trial in June after denying being in possession of forged money in Tenby.

Thirty-seven-year-old Gwyn Davies of St Nicholas Crescent, The Green, Pembroke, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, to plead not guilty to a charge of having under his control counterfeit currency, seven £20 bank of England notes, which he was intending to pass or tender as genuine, on February 18.

Thirty-eight-year-old Darren David Rees, of Catalina Avenue, Pembroke Dock, denied a similar charge, of being in possession of one £20 counterfeit note.

A trial was set for the magistrates court on June 3, and both defendants were ordered to appear on that date.
