Tenby’s RNLI inshore lifeboat the Georgina Taylor was launched shortly before 7.15 pm on Friday (April 9), following a request from Coastguards and Paramedics who were dealing with a casualty with a suspected broken leg at Amroth.

The volunteer crew made best speed to Amroth and quickly spotted the Coastguards and Paramedics stabilising the casualty in an area that was cut off by the tide.

A crew member from the lifeboat was put ashore and assisted in placing the casualty into a stretcher and carrying him down to the inshore lifeboat, which then transported him to the slipway.

He was then taken to hospital by Ambulance.
