Tenby RNLI's lifeboat crew raced into action during the early hours, with the lifeboat launching to search for a missing person.

Tenby inshore lifeboat was launched shortly before 2.30am on Monday, April 13, following a report of a missing person somewhere between the locality of Saundersfoot and Lydstep.

The volunteer lifeboat crew were tasked to search the shoreline between Monkstone and Giltar, whilst Coastguard teams from the area also searched ashore.

There was relief all around when it was soon confirmed that the person reported missing, had been found safely on South Beach in Tenby itself, and with no more assistance required, the lifeboat was stood down to return to station, arriving at 3.30am.
