Tenby RNLI lifeboat volunteer crew raced into action on a busy Saturday evening in the seaside town, after receiving reports of a person being cut off on rocks by the incoming tide.

Tenby's inshore lifeboat was launched just after 5pm on Saturday, July 26, following a report of somebody being cut off by the incoming tide between Monkstone and Swallowtree near Saundersfoot.

The volunteer crew made best speed to the area and were directed towards the casualty by RNLI beach lifeguards on duty at Saundersfoot.

Once onboard the lifeboat, the casualty was dropped ashore at Saundersfoot harbour, where lifeguards were waiting to treat the minor cuts that he had received whilst walking on the rocks.

The lifeboat then returned back to the station in Tenby.
