A ewe stranded on a Pembrokeshire cliff has been rescued by a RSPCA boat team.

The sheep was stuck on a cliff at Angle Bay and was spotted by someone by boat, who contacted the RSPCA.

RSPCA animal welfare officer (AWO) Andrew Harris said: “The sheep could only be seen from the sea. RSPCA inspector Rohan Barker checked to see if he could see her from land, but he couldn’t.

“This meant we had to use a boat to reach her. Myself and inspector Barker along with inspector Nigel Duguid launched the rescue boat from Neyland and located the sheep at Angle Bay.

“I climbed the cliff to where she was - which was around 10-15 feet - and we managed to bring her back safely to the boat. We don’t know how long she might have been there.”

At Neyland Marina, the farmer was able to collect the sheep who was uninjured and in good health.
