A Saundersfoot man accused of assaulting a police officer in the village will go on trial next month after denying the offence.
Fifty-three-year-old Ian Jones, of Brewery Terrace, appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday to plead not guilty to a charge of common assault on a female police officer on August 19 of last year.
The defendant also denied a charge of stealing food items and alcohol valued at £16.66 from the Spar Store in Saundersfoot on August 6.
Mr. Jones who was released on unconditional bail, was ordered to appear at the court on February 20 for the trial.
