There was drama in St. Florence on Tuesday morning when a fire broke out at the village’s Greenhills Country Hotel.

A spokesperson for the Mid and West Fire Service, said: “On Tuesday, 11.45 am, crews from Tenby, Pembroke Dock and Haverfordwest attended a fire at a hotel in St. Florence, with all persons being accounted for.

“The fire was confined to the roof space of the property, measuring approximately 70 metres x 20 metres and consisting of two floors, and had affected three first floor rooms.

“Firefighters extinguished the fire using six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera.

“The Fire Service left the incident at 3.21 pm.

“Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.”
