Tenby’s all weather lifeboat was launched at 1.10pm on Sunday, March 20, following a report that three people were in trouble in the sea off Rhossili on the Gower.

The volunteer crew made best speed to Rhossili and as they were just minutes away, news came through that one person had got ashore by themselves and Burry Port inshore lifeboat had picked up the other two. All casualties were now accounted for and safely ashore, where they were being checked out by a crew from the Coastguard rescue helicopter, that had also been tasked.

The lifeboat returned to Tenby, arriving at 2.10 pm.
