An extinction rebellion protest that caused distribution around the Valero refinery in Pembroke has seen two protestors arrested.
The protesters were arrested on for unlawful obstruction of the highway following the group’s decision to end the distribution last night (Thursday).
They were transferred to Haverfordwest custody.
Police have also said that the other people who took part in the protest have been reported for summons and the items used have been sized.
Superintendent Robyn Mason said: “Officers spoke to the protesters and partner agencies throughout the day to ensure a balance was maintained between allowing people the right to peaceful protest and the requirement to ensure the safety of, and minimise the disruption to, business and the community. We will continue to monitor the situation.”
