Dyfed-Powys Police is urging people to stay away from a derelict building in Pembroke Dock.
On Wednesday, January 10, reports were received of people entering the old Commodore Hotel, which had previously undergone work to secure it. This resulted in officers working with colleagues from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service to make electrical cables safe.
PCSO Celyn Rees, of Pembroke Dock Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The condition of the building means it contains lots of hidden dangers such as loose rubble, cables, asbestos, and things that cannot always be seen by those entering the site. I would like to remind people that entering this building puts them at risk, and that causing damage to the building is a crime.
“We will continue to carry out increased patrols in the area to deter people from entering the building.”
Anyone with information that can help officers is asked to contact Pembroke Dock Neighbourhood Policing Team by calling 101. If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired, text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 908.
