Police recovered 52 grams of cannabis when they carried out a search warrant at the home of a Milford man a court heard this week.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jamie William Wilson, of Birch Mead, Mount Estate, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, to plead guilty to a charge of possessing the Class B drug.
Prosecutor Abul Hussain told the court that police officers attended Mr. Wilson’s home address on May 24 and carried out a search warrant.
“The cannabis recovered had a street value of £520. The defendant has six previous convictions on record, some for drugs matters,” he continued.
Defence solicitor Mark Layton told the court that Mr. Wilson made frank and full admissions when interviewed by police, and that the cannabis was for his own personal use.
Magistrates fined the defendant £80 for the offence, and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge. A destruction order for the drugs was also passed.
