Dyfed-Powys Police in Pembrokeshire are appealing for witnesses for attempted car theft and arson in Neyland, arresting a teenager in connection with the crime.

Officers attended an address in Springfield Close at approximately 10pm on Sunday, August 23, following a report that three offenders were attempting to steal a car.

The offenders had left the scene prior to officers arriving, without having taken the vehicle.

Then at 1am on Monday (August 24) three mopeds were discovered near Neyland Vale, which had all been damaged after being set alight. This incident is being treated as linked to the attempted theft of a vehicle in Springfield Close.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “The three offenders involved in the Springfield Close incident are described as all being dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas and gloves.

“A 13-year-old boy from the Milford Haven area has been arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without the owners consent and arson in connection with these incidents.

“He has been released on bail. Officers would like to speak to anyone who has any information relating to these incidents, or anyone who has any CCTV footage in the area to please review it for anything significant.”
