People continue to break the ‘five mile’ travel restrictions set out by the Welsh Government - with Pembrokeshire’s Road Policing Unit highlighting more incidents this week.

On Friday (June 26), the RPU stated that the occupants of a Corsa, which was stop checked at Kilgetty, stated that they were ‘heading to Tenby for a picnic’ after travelling from Port Talbot.

The occupants were reported for breaching coronavirus regulations, and the vehicle was sent back eastwards.

Earlier today, a vehicle that had made a journey from Gwent was stop checked by the road policing team at Llanteg, with the occupants stating they’d seen the pictures of the gathering on Ogmore beach, so thought it was ok to go to the beach in Tenby!

All three occupants were reported for breaching coronavirus regulations, and escorted east to St. Clears.

On Thursday morning - a total of nine persons were reported at Stackpole and Barafundle, for breaching coronavirus regulations, and made to clear up rubbish and litter they had left.

The persons had travelled from Birmingham and Northampton respectively, and the vehicles were escorted from the area.
