A 69-year-old man from Pembroke has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent after an incident at Withybush Hospital.
Kenneth Cyril John James, of South Terrace, entered no plea to the charge when he appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Abul Hussain told the court that the offence took place on November 1, 2016, when Mr. James was a patient at the hospital and the wounded person was a staff member.
The matter was transferred to Swansea Crown Court, with Mr. James, who was released on unconditional bail, ordered to appear for a further hearing on June 1.
