A Pembroke Dock man has been fined in court for cannabis possession.

Twenty-year-old Connor Hart, of Commercial Row, pleaded guilty to possessing 0.4 grams of the drug, when he appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Prosecutor Ellie Morgan told the court that police had attended a premises in Pembroke Dock at round 11 pm, on March 21, due to a complaint of antisocial behaviour.

“There was a faint smell of cannabis coming from the premises, and when officers spoke to Mr. Hart, his pupils were dilated, and his conversation was odd,” she said.

“There was a grinder on the table containing the cannabis and he admitted it was his. He said that he was just at the premises having a few drinks with his friends,” added Ms Morgan.

Magistrates fined the defendant £80 for the offence, and ordered him to pay costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.

They also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs and the grinder.
