A Milford man has been fined in court after pleading guilty to drugs possession.
Twenty-six-year-old, Chad Alex Forrest of Nelson Avenue, Hakin appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, charged with four counts of possessing Class C drugs on June 19 in Milford Haven.
The defendant admitted having in his possession 0.9 grams of cannbis; nine Zopiclone tablets; three Amitriptyline tablets; and six Mirtazapine tablets.
Prosecutor Vaughan Pritchard-Jones told the court how police executed a search warrant at the property Mr. Forrest was at and found the drugs in different parts of the house.
Magistrates also heard that Mr. Forrest had already pleaded guilty to a charge of possession with intent to supply and was due to be sentenced at Swansea Crown Court very shortly.
The court heard that when the defendant was interviewed by police, he said that he “probably would have swallowed” the tablets had they not been seized, admitting that the drugs were his.
Defence solicitor, Jonathan Webb said that his client accepted that he shouldn’t have had the drugs on him and pleaded guilty to the offences at the first opportunity.
Magistrates fined Mr. Forrest £166, and ordered him to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
