A Milford man has been fined in court after failing to comply with a community order.

Thirty-eight-year-old Paul George Roberts, of Great North Road, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Monday, to admit a breach of a community order imposed at Llanelli Magistrates Court last September for being found in possession of a bladed article.

Magistrates heard how Mr. Roberts failed to attend appointments with his probation officer on November 15 and December 21.

Probation officer Julie Norman told the court that the appointments were scheduled Rehabilitation Activity Requirements, given as part of the defendant’s sentence.

Defence solicitor Jonathan Webb told the court that his client had experienced a difficult period, after losing his mother in September, and also suffering with a serious medical condition.

“Things haven’t been going too well for him personally, but he is now keen to get on with the community order,” explained Mr. Webb.

Magistrates fined Mr. Roberts £40 for the breach of his order, and informed him that he must inform the probation service if he can’t attend any appointments due to his health.
