A Milford man has appeared in court after being caught in possession of 233 grams of cannabis.

Forty-year-old Nathan Albert John, of Chestnut Way, admitted the charge when he appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Prosecutor Sian Vaughan told magistrates that police executed a warrant at Mr. John’s address on September 5, and found the quantity of cannabis in his bedroom, whilst he was out.

Defence solicitor Mark Layton told the court that Mr. John had some history of drug offending, but had only come before the court once in the past 10 years.

“He has engaged with the Dyfed Drug and Alcohol Service and is hoping to put his issues with cannabis behind him,” said Mr. Layton.

Magistrates fined Mr. John £100 for the offence and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
