A Milford motorist has been disqualified from driving for 18 months after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
Forty-seven-year-old Tracey Ann Craig, of Haven Drive, appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, to admit driving her Nissan Micra on a road in Steynton, after exceeding the prescribed limit of alcohol.
Prosecutor Sian Vaughan told magistrates that it was 4.30 am on August 25, when police officers on patrol noticed the defendant driving her vehicle and having difficulty staying in the correct lane.
After being arrested, Mrs. Craig gave a reading of 77 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath at the police station.
Defence solicitor Katy Hanson told the court that her client deeply regretted the incident.
“She had been drinking much earlier in the day and driven to the garage thinking she would be okay to drive.
“Mrs. Craig has suffered with depression and anxiety for over 20 years, and has a son who suffers with autism, so the stress may have contributed to her doing something totally out of character,” explained Ms Hanson.
Magistrates disqualified the defendant from driving fro 18 months and fined her £120 for the offence.
Mrs. Craig was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
