A man has died following a rescue operation in the River Cleddau, Haverfordwest. Dyfed-Powys Police have emphasised that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Dyfed-Powys Police received a report, at approximately 10.50am on Tuesday, March 17), concerning the safety of a man who was seen in the Cleddau river.
A police spokesperson said: “Following a multi-agency response, the man was recovered from the water and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
“Sadly, we can confirm the man has since died.
“His next of kin have been informed. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious, and HM Coroner has been informed,” they added.
