Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating two incidents that took place in Saundersfoot on Saturday, August 1.

At approximately 7.40pm, a report was received that two men were in a physical altercation in a car park in Saundersfoot harbour.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police stated: "Both men were reported to have then entered the same vehicle which was driven off.

“Later the same evening at 8pm, a report indicated concern for the welfare of a man who was found injured on the B4136 road, which connects Saundersfoot to Pentlepoir.

"He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries where he remains.

"Both reported incidents are being treated as linked, and a man aged 42 from the Cheshire area has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and drink driving.

"He has been released under investigation.

"These incidents are being treated as isolated, and the victim and suspect are known to each other, therefore officers are not looking for anyone else in relation to this investigation at this time."
